10 Things You Should Keep in Your Car

June 1, 2017

Happy Road-trip Season everyone! While warmer weather tends to mean a lot more travelling this list is also applicable to the winter months as well. My motto is “it’s always best to be prepared” and even if you get everything on this list, it won’t take up too much space in your car!

This one has a lot of different uses. In a cold weather emergency this blanket has the added bonus of being heated, but on a less serious note it can also be used for impromptu picnics, covering your seats or if you sleep in your car during a roadtrip!

Jumper Kit

This one is a bit of a no-brainer but this kit also comes with a nifty set of tools. If you don’t know how to jump a car, head over to this link

Walking Shoes

Wearing uncomfortable shoes? Not good at driving in heels? Run out of gas? Here ya go!

Shovel/ Ice Scraper

Probably only useful if you live somewhere it snows (raises hand in sad shame)

Duct Tape

It fixes basically everything

Water Bottles

It won’t be super appealing if they get baked in your car but in an emergency at least you have water.

Cash (think like $20 for emergency gas)

Sorry no magical Amazon link that will give you $20. But… if you use Honey or Ebates while shopping online (maybe for some of the other stuff in this list hint hint) you can stack up on savings and cash back!

God forbid you need to change a tire or jump a car in the dark this will come in handy. Or you know, if you drop something under your seats.

I’m guessing I’m not the only one who gets caught in the rain. At least this way it’s as close as your car is.

First Aid Kit

Pretty self explanatory for why you might need this

This is an awesome idea for a post! Also, I always keep a blanket in my car, and it’s become a thing with my friends when they drive with me. It’s the “guest blanket” and they all cover themselves with it for fun 🙂

These are such good ideas! I never would’ve thought of the tennis shoes being a necessity! Great post!

This is so important especially when you live in a cold climate during the winter like I do. I keep a snow shovel in my car as well because I’ve had to dig myself out of parking spots before!

Same! I forgot my shovel one time and had to dig through 2 feet of snow… after work… with an ice scraper… Never again.

This is such a great list. Walking shoes, now why didn’t I think of that? And a blanket is a good idea too!

THanks for these awesome tips! I wouldn’t have thought of duct tape, I don’t use it that often anyways lol

These are actually really good ideas! Especially the money for gas.

I feel like the money for gas is so common sense but I never thought to start doing it until my dad suggested it!
